<p>Metal can be removed after completion of an organic synthesis reaction, particularly an olefin metathesis reaction, by contacting the reaction product mixture with alumina, such that a complex of alumina and metal is formed, then removing the complex. Purity levels of less than 20 ppm metal can be obtained by this process.</p> |
