<p>The invention mainly concerns a braking device with enhanced safety reducing risks of injury caused by the brake pedal to the driver in case of impact, for example front-end impact on the vehicle, and more particularly an electrohydraulic braking device with variable hydraulic reaction. The inventive braking device comprises a master cylinder (1) equipped with a cartridge (3) simulating the pedal feel, said master cylinder (1) being actuated by an actuating rod (11) linked to the pedal (12), said cartridge (3) comprising elastic means (29) and means for compressing (38) the elastic means (29). Said compression means (38) capable of being actuated by a computer (90) when an injury risk at the driver's leg is detected to reduce the compression rate of the elastic means (29).</p> |
