<p>A water-based ink characterized by comprising a surface-treated pigment as a colorant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, the pigment being dispersed in the solvent and water, and by further containing an organic pH buffer selected among good buffers and a compound selected among aminopropanediol derivatives. This water-based ink is inhibited from suffering a pH change, especially a decrease in pH, and hence has high storage stability. Due to this, an ink-jet recording apparatus with high durability and a recording method can be realized in which those constituent members of the printer system which come into contact with the liquid are inhibited from dissolving.</p> |
