Method for testing the sealing of and around a work glove used to manipulate items within a work chamber. The glove is inserted through an opening in the side of a chamber and is sealed off using a sealing disk. According to the method the internal chamber is filled with a gaseous medium up to a predetermined gas pressure and then sealed off. The static pressure in the chamber is then measured over time with the resulting values stored in a microprocessor in the sealing disk.
