PURPOSE: A paper sorter of an image forming apparatus is provided to sort printed papers zigzag in a simple and economic way. CONSTITUTION: A paper sorter of an image forming apparatus includes a rotation axis(220) that receives power from a motor(210), and a hollow shaft(230) rotated in connection with the rotation axis and reciprocated on the rotation axis. The rotation axis is slidably inserted into the inside of the shaft. The paper sorter further includes a driving axis(240), a gear, an electronic clutch(250) and a reciprocation driver(260). The driving axis is set in parallel with the rotation axis, having a predetermined distance between the driving axis and the rotation axis and rotated in connection with the rotation axis. The gear is rotatively set at the driving axis and connected with a driving gear placed at the front end of the rotation axis. The electronic clutch selectively transmits the rotation force of the gear to the driving axis. The reciprocation driver reciprocates the hollow shaft according to rotation of the driving axis.
