A communication system includes a first master and a second master, the second master communicating with a slave, the second master may poll the first master to determine the first master hopping sequence and to determine if the first master is receiving a signal from the slave. In case of handoff, the second master can transmit the hopping sequence to the slave which can then communicate almost immediately with the first master.
