PURPOSE: An expansion valve for reducing bubble of refrigerant of air conditioner is provided to reduce bubble of refrigerant passing the expansion valve. CONSTITUTION: An expansion valve includes a valve main body(1); a valve chamber(10) formed in the valve main body for high pressure refrigerant to be introduced therein from a condenser; a suction chamber(20) formed in the valve main body to be separated from the valve chamber for low pressure refrigerant to be introduced therein from an evaporator; a valve device installed in the valve chamber and driven according to temperature of refrigerant passing the suction chamber to control flux of refrigerant; and a control device(50) mounted in the valve main body and changing sectional area of flow of refrigerant in the valve chamber when flow rate of refrigerant in the suction chamber suddenly increases.
