METHOD FOR PRODUCING CYCLOHEXANONE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cyclohexanone from a cyclohexanol at a high conversion rate using a catalyst that does not require complicated preparation process such as deoxidization by burning in a hydrogen containing atmosphere. SOLUTION: This method for producing a cyclohexanone comprises dehydrogenation reaction of a cyclohexanol using a copper oxide (CwO) as a catalyst under a condition which brings supercritical state of cyclohexanol, whose temperature is 352 deg.C or higher, pressure is 3.8 MPa or higher.
