PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire grate piece having structure enabling reduction of wear and leakage of gas for combustion, in a contact part between the fire grate pieces longitudinally disposed and adjoining with each other, and also to provide a stoker type conveying device where the fire grate piece is a constitution member. SOLUTION: A gas flow passage P to feed combustion gas is formed in a space surrounded with an upper wall 1 and right and left side walls 2, and a front end wall 3 situated in a state of being connected to the upper wall 1 and the right and left side walls 2 is provided. The front end wall 3 is provided with a fire gate piece body R having an opening part 31 through which combustion gas through the gas flow passage P is discharged to an external part, and a tip lower part 32 of the fire grate piece body R and an upper wall surface 11 of an adjoining fire grate piece body are relatively reciprocately slid, while an angle of elevation is being fluctuated. A rocking piece 4 to slide, while making surface contact with the upper wall surface 11 of the adjoining fire grate piece body, is provided at the tip lower part 32 of the fire grate piece body R.
