CERAMIC POROUS MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic porous material which has high strength though it has high porosity, is free from dust and excellent in permeability. SOLUTION: The ceramic porous material has a three-dimensional mesh-like skeleton structure in which pores adjacent to each other in a large number of nearly spheric pores are connected through communication pores. In this porous material, the grain size of the rim of the communication holes in the skeleton structure is controlled to substantially equal to the grain size in other regions.
