PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standing pouch having an IC chip installed therein which is less prone to be peeled off therefrom and having low possibility of flawing the surface of a film or causing pinholes on the film, and hence has a high reliability. SOLUTION: The standing pouch comprises two film bodies (11, 12) composed of a front film and a rear film, and a doubly-folded bottom tape (13). A noncontact type IC chip (21) is installed in a recess (15) in the seal part (14) of the doubly-folded bottom tape (13). The noncontact type IC chip (21) is preferably the one which can be read and written.
