PURPOSE: A device and a method for fuel injection control of a diesel engine are provided to achieve improved engine performance and reduce exhaust gas, while reducing smoke pollution. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a fuel tank(10); a high pressure supply pump(20); a common rail(40) for storing the fuel supplied from the high pressure supply pump; an injector(60) for injecting the fuel discharged from the common rail into an engine through a nozzle; an engine control unit(200) for outputting a control signal for controlling the injector; a first pressure control valve(310) for controlling the fuel supplied from the high pressure supply pump and supplying the fuel to the common rail, in accordance with the control signal output from the engine control unit; a switching valve(320) for controlling the injection volume of the fuel discharged from the common rail, in accordance with the control signal output from the engine control unit; and a second pressure control valve(330) for returning the residual fuel discharged from the injector to the fuel tank, in accordance with the control signal output from the engine control unit.
