PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately detecting and measuring in a short time even a very small amount of substance to be detected such as a chemical substance, a protein, a microbe, viruses, etc., capable of becoming an antigen and an antibody. SOLUTION: An area for fixing a substance for capturing the substance to be detected in which a first substance of 0.002-0.8 m<2> in size for capturing the substance to be detected is fixed is formed on a substrate. The substance to be detected contained in a sample liquid is captured in the area for fixing the substance for capturing the substance to be detected. After a second substance for capturing the substance to be detected labeling an enzyme is combined with the substance to be detected, a substance to be a substrate for an enzyme reaction is added to create an enzyme reaction product. An electrochemical reaction caused in a process of the progress of the enzyme reaction is detected as an electric signal by a working electrode provided correspondingly in the vicinity of the area for fixing the substance for capturing the substance to be detected. |
