PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printing apparatus capable of maintaining the planarity of the surface of a fabric during recording without causing staining of the fabric with an ink which strikes through the fabric even when the thin fabric is printed. SOLUTION: This ink-jet printing apparatus is designed to jet the ink from a nozzle of a recording head 3 and thereby carry out recording on the fabric 1. In the apparatus, a recording part for jetting the ink from the recording head 3 and carrying cut the recording is provided between transporting rollers 2a and 2b arranged parallel at a prescribed interval kept therebetween and transporting the fabric 1. A plurality of ribby guide members 5 extending in the transportation direction of the fabric 1 are installed side by side at a prescribed interval kept therebetween on the back surface side of the fabric 1 in the recording part.
