TRANSFER SHEET AND MOLDED PRODUCT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer sheet which undergoes a few number of manufacturing steps and exhibits a high metallic gloss. SOLUTION: This transfer sheet 1 has a transfer layer composed of a metal- tone ink layer, laminated on a support sheet 1. The metal-tone ink layer 2 is constituted of scaly foil pieces obtained by grinding a metallic vapor deposition film dispersed in a transparent binder resin. An adhesive layer 3 is laminated on the metal-tone ink layer 2 and may be included in the transfer layer. In addition, a pictorial pattern is formed on the support sheet 1 using a colored ink layer 4 and the colored ink layer 4 may be included in the transfer layer. Further, a release layer 5 is formed between the support sheet 1 and the metal- tone ink layer 2 and the release layer 5 may be included in the transfer layer. This transfer sheet 1 displays a higher metallic gloss than does a transfer sheet using a silver ink. Compared to a transfer sheet composed of a metallic vapor deposition film formed in a pattern on the support sheet 1, this transfer sheet has such advantages that a desired pattern can be formed by printing and the manufacturing cost can be reduced despite the metallic gloss being equal to that of the former transfer sheet.
