PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration unit for land transportation capable of restricting inner temperature rise of a container when it is opened. SOLUTION: This refrigeration unit for land transportation is provided on a vehicle for land transportation provided with a refrigerator to keep things refrigerated. It is provided with a compressor 5, a condenser 40, an expansion valve 33, and an evaporator 30 to form a refrigerating cycle. As an opening detecting means to detect opening of the refrigerator, a lighting switch 13 is used, and an opening/closing operation control part 9a is provided to output an operation stop signal or restart signal based on a detection signal of the lighting switch 13.
