PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, when processing in an interleaf mode, capable of checking a bundle of sheets formed by a user so as to reliably prepare a desired bundle of sheets. SOLUTION: In order to solve the purpose a typical construction of the image forming apparatus according to the present invention is characterized in that, in the image forming apparatus having the interleaf mode in which a sheet is inserted in any position of a bundle of sheets, the image forming process pauses for each bundle of sheets when forming images for plural bundles.
