PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peening apparatus for saw teeth and a plane blade, which can easily carry out saw setting for the saw teeth and peening for a plane blade. SOLUTION: In the peening apparatus for the saw teeth and the plane blade, a core rod 1 having a chisel 15 at a tip end thereof is guided by a sleeve 3 so as to be aligned with a supporting base 9 for supporting the saw or the plane blade. When a head of the core rod 1 is struck with a hammer with the saw put on the supporting base 9, the chisel 15 at the tip end of the core rod 1 guided by the sleeve 3 can exactly strike the saw.
