A retaining needle (1) with wing capable of surely preventing a hollow needle from being erroneously pierced and being easily operated, comprising the hollow needle (2) having an edge at a tip, a hub (3) provided at the rear end of the hollow needle (2), a gutter−like member (6) for storing the hollow needle (2) and the hub (3), a pair of wing−like members (7) installed on the outer sides of the side walls of the gutter−like member (6), a projection maintaining means for unlockably maintaining the state of the hollow needle (2) projected by a specified length from the tip of the gutter−like member (6), a storage maintaining means for maintaining the state of the hollow needle (2) stored in the gutter−like member (6), a rack (4) continuously connected to the rear end of the hub (3), and a gear (8) pivotally supported on the inner surface sides of the side walls of the gutter−like member (6) in mesh with the rack (4), wherein the gear (8) is rotated to drive the hollow needle (2) through the rack (4) so as to store the hollow needle in the gutter−like member (6).
