PHYSICAL DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical distribution management system capable of easily and efficiently performing the operations of picking, packing, and shipping a variety of merchandise as desired by each store. SOLUTION: In the physical distribution management system 1, shipping data are transmitted from a picking management device 13 to a POS device 15 of each picking cart 14 by radio communications. Based on the shipping data received, the POS device 15 collates merchandise display barcode information with the shipping data to pick merchandise while making inspection. After the picking has ended, a shipping data seal 130 printed with a two-dimensional barcode 131 including the shipping data is issued from a shipping data seal issuer 21. Based on this two-dimensional barcode information, a tag seal 140 and a packing list seal 150 are issued by a tag/packing list issuer 24 and can be affixed to a packing box 120. Each store to which the merchandise is shipped can also easily and accurately make reception and inspection of the delivered merchandise according to the two-dimensional barcode information.
