<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail mounting structure facilitating the operation of mounting a handrail at a construction site. SOLUTION: The structure includes a handrail 1 with slots 3 formed therein in a direction approximately perpendicular to its lower surface 8, banisters 2, insertion pieces 4 provided at the upper ends of the banisters 2 for insertion into the slots 3, and angle varying members 5 for varying the angle of the insertion pieces 4. By adjusting the angle varying members 5, the insertion pieces 4 are held at a predetermined angle to the banisters 2 and are inserted into the slots 3 to mount the handrail 1. The angle varying member 5 has a rotating member 5a at the rear end of the insertion piece 4, with at least a portion of the rotating member being arcuate on a cross-sectional view, and has a pivotal support 7 provided at the upper end of the banister 2 for pivotally supporting the arcuate portion of the rotating member.</p> |
