PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic flushing apparatus for a toilet bowl, which has a simplified valve structure, and is equipped with a power generating function having excellent general-purpose properties. SOLUTION: This automatic flushing apparatus for the toilet bowl flushes the toilet bowl by electrically opening an electromagnetic valve, or by pushing a manual push button so as to open a piston valve through the use of a push rod which is interlocked with the push button; the push rod is provided with a blade wheel; the blade wheel is rotated by flushing water flowing along a water passage when the piston valve is opened; and the rotation of the blade wheel is transferred to a generator via the push rod so that the generator can generate electric power. The automatic flushing apparatus is characterized by driving the electromagnetic valve by virtue of the power generation of the generator.
