PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood drying apparatus which is high in a yield and can measure a water content of wood even in a drying process of wood concerning the wood drying apparatus for artificially drying the wood. SOLUTION: The wood drying apparatus comprises a pressing device installed at one end of a butt end of wood; a water absorbing device installed at the other end of the wood; a sending in conveyor for sending wood between the pressing device and the water absorbing device; a balance for weighing a weight of the wood between the pressing device and the water absorbing device; and a carrying out conveyor for sending out the dry wood between the pressing device and the water absorbing device.
