PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generating electric discharge machining method that manufactures a fine part like a back recess step part of a bearing hole of a die to form a shape accurately. SOLUTION: Mount a wire type electrode used for generating electric discharge machining on an electric discharge machine shaft head, incline a pipe tool with a bore whose inner diameter is a little larger than the outer diameter of the electrode from the machine shaft center axis by a specified angle, and push and pull the electrode in and out of the pipe tool bore by turning the electrode to correct a bend of the electrode. Generating electric discharge machining is carried out by using the corrected electrode bend.
