Device for casting low melting metals and alloys comprises an upper part (8) formed as a stamp and a lower part (7) suitable for receiving a stamp. The lower part contains a zone (1) as contour-forming element made from mineral material containing a metallic reinforcing structure (2). Metallic or organic particles, preferably in fibrous form, are embedded in the mineral material. The contour-forming element is enclosed by an outer part (5) which absorbs pressure via a pressing bushing (4). Heating cartridges (3) are inserted in the zone made from mineral material. Preferred Features: The mineral material is selected from normal concrete, refractory concrete and/or ceramic. The outer part is formed as a metallic shrunk strip, shrunk ring or pressing ring, or protective shell. The stamp is made from a metallic and/or ceramic material.
