CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a peripheral circuit part B and a display part A, and the peripheral circuit part B is provided with first to fifth metallic patterns 5b to 5d formed on a substrate 1, a first insulating film 9 formed on the first to fifth metallic patterns 5b to 5d, a second metallic pattern 10a formed on the first insulating film 9, a second insulating film 13 which is formed on the second metallic pattern 10a and has a first resin film 12, and third metallic patterns 14a to 14c which are formed on the second insulating film 13, and the display part A is provided with an active element 8 which is formed on the first substrate 1 and is covered with the second insulating film 9 and the second resin film 16 and a pixel electrode 15c which is formed on a pixel area of the second insulating film 9 and is electrically connected to the active element 8 through a hole 13c formed in the second insulating film 9.
