PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit having a plurality of channels in which the integration and accuracy of a semiconductor laser are enhanced, and an image recorder comprising it. SOLUTION: The light source unit 30 comprises light source sections 300, a fixing base 31, and a positioning member 32. The light source section 300 comprises a submount mounting the bare chip of a semiconductor laser, and a collimator lens for collimating a laser beam emitted from the bare chip and defining the exiting direction thereof. The fixing base 31 comprises a member exhibiting high thermal conductivity such that generated heat is transmitted quickly to a cooling unit 33 and dissipated and has a wiring function for supplying a current to the light source section 300. A plurality of light source sections 300 are fixed directly to the fixing base 31. The positioning member 32 has lens holes 320 at specified positions and the light source sections 300 are positioned by fitting the collimator lenses thereof in the lens holes 320. |
