REPLACEMENT METHOD OF GLAND PACKING OF HYDRAULIC OPERATION TYPE LARGE SIZE VALVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replace a gland packing without remounting a hydraulic structure of a hydraulic operation type large size valve. SOLUTION: In the state of releasing the connection of a screw type coupling 40 at a lower end part of a valve stem 12 and a piston rod 44 of the hydraulic structure, a portal shaped jack 64 is arranged to a lower flange 32 of a yoke unit 28 to jack up the valve stem 12. Then, after remounting the coupling 40 from the valve stem 12, the valve stem 12 is jacked down to replace the gland packing 26 of the valve stem 12.
