PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan forced heater capable of maintaining comfortable indoor environments constantly without discontinuity of a humidification state by correctly detecting a temperature at a bottom wall of a humidification plate, and keeping a constant quantity of humidification water stored in the humidification plate. SOLUTION: This fan forced heater 1 is provided with: a main body case 2 having an air intake port 7 and a warm air blow port 5B; an air passage 9 formed inside the main body case to communicate the air intake port with the warm air blow port; a convection fan 24 and a heat exchanging part 15 disposed on the air passage; a combustion part 10 to supply combustion hot gas to the heat exchanging part; the humidification plate 40 disposed in the air passage downstream of the heat exchanger part; a placement plate 36 to detachably hold the humidification plate; and a temperature detector 44 provided on the placement plate. The humidification plate is provided with a bottom wall swollen part 40B in a part of the bottom wall 40A, and a detection part 44A of the temperature detector is attached to an underside surface of the bottom wall swollen part.
