INK COMPOSITION, INK-JET RECORDING METHOD AND RECORDING APPARATUS BY USING THIS INK COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet-printing ink composition which permits the high graceful image quality as that of a laser printer and permits stable setting with no clogging in a nozzle in spite of using a penetration-type ink composition, and to provide an ink jet-recording method. SOLUTION: The penetration-type high viscous ink composition has a pigment concentration of 6 wt.% or higher and contains a penetrant having a solubility in water at 25 deg.C of from 0.1 wt.% to not more than 4.5 wt.% and also has an ink composition viscosity of 8 cPs or more (25 deg.C).
