PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sticking a polarizing plate to a liquid crystal panel, which reduces the pressing force of a sticking roll to the polarizing plate so as to smoothly bring the sticking roll press-contact with the polarizing plate and enables subtle control of the pressing force of the sticking roll to the polarizing plate. SOLUTION: A cylinder 18 vertically moves a sticking roll 17 for sticking a polarizing plate B to a liquid crystal panel A, and an air supply source is branched and connected to a raising head side 18a and a lowering piston side 18b of the cylinder 18 after passing a first pressure setting means 28 and a solenoid valve 29, and a second pressure setting means 30 which sets an air pressure to a value lower than the air pressure acting on the raising head side 18a is provided in a branch circuit connected to the lowering piston side 18b. When the sticking roll 17 is raised with the solenoid valve 29 open, the rising force of a piston is reduced by the air pressure acting on the lowering piston side 18b to relax the impact in pressing the end part of the polarizing plate B to the liquid crystal panel A by the sticking roll 17. |
