<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine capable of appropriately purifying toxic substances (particulate matter, NOx or the like) in the exhaust with small number of sensors. SOLUTION: Without fixing an additional exhaust pressure sensor, exhaust pressure is estimated on the basis of information from exhaust sensors (a linear A/F sensor, an O2 sensor). By monitoring outputs of the exhaust sensors, a clogging state of an exhaust post-processing device (DPF) by particulate matter (PM) is obtained and necessity of regeneration of the exhaust post-processing device is determined (S33).</p> |
