PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition and a condenser part item having excellently low chloride ion content and good mechanical properties as well as having no defecting effect on tensile strength, tensile elongation and mechanical properties such as impact strength upon being treated with a relatively large amount of a chloride ion supplying agent. SOLUTION: The polyphenylene sulfide resin composition comprises (a) 100 pts.wt. of a polyphenylene sulfide resin, (b1) 2.5-90 pts.wt. of magnesium oxide and/or (c1) 7-140 pts.wt. of magnesium, aluminum and oxides. Additionally, the condenser part item comprises the above polyphenylene sulfide resin composition.
