PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container gripping device capable of preventing a container from swaying when turned upside down by increasing a gripping force for gripping the upper neck part of the container from each side, and capable of flexibly moving container gripping parts, reducing operating forces, and increasing the versatility of the container gripping parts. SOLUTION: Grippers 15a and 15b are provided with contact parts 17 which movably make contact with the neck part 1a of the container 1 and support arm parts 20 supporting the contact parts 17 while being connected to each other in such a manner as to be rotatable about a pivot part 19. A gripper drive mechanism 16 is provided with a toggle link type link mechanism part 31 connected to the rear ends of the support arm parts 20, and a link drive part 32.
