PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve which stably controls fuel pressure of a pressure control chamber 11. SOLUTION: A dead-end passage 17 communicated with the pressure control chamber 11 is formed by a drill from the pressure control chamber 11 side in a dead-end hole shape with a tip part of the hole closed. An inlet side orifice 18 is connected to the dead-end passage 17 from the orthogonal direction, and an outlet of the inlet side orifice 18 is opened at the position separate from the tip part of the dead-end passage 17 toward the pressure control chamber 11 side by >=0.2 mm (L>=0.2 m). In this configuration, the flow of the fuel in the inlet side orifice 18 forms only one system of the flow striking the side surface of the dead-end passage 17 facing the outlet of the inlet side orifice 18 in an orthogonal manner, and no unstable flow is generated in which the flow vectors are intersected with each other. As a result, the fuel pressure in the pressure control chamber 11 is stably controlled, and the injection is stabilized.
