PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction filter which easily forms a filter cloth bag without forming wrinkles in the filter cloth bag with high reliability and excellent productivity. SOLUTION: An upper plate 4 is provided on a predetermined position of an upper filter cloth 2 to constitute a filter cloth bag 1, an upper end part of a spring 5 is fixed to a lower surface of the upper plate 4 for fitting the spring 5 to the plate 4, and a lower filter cloth abutting member 7 with a lower surface formed in a spherical shape is fitted to a lower end of the spring 5.
