摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tatami edge causing no lowering of the functions of charcoal by increasing the surface area of a molding in addition to increasing the content of charcoal powders, thus increasing the area of micropores in the charcoal powders that makes direct contact with air. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic drawn linear element containing charcoal powders, which forms a warp or weft of edge cloth, is provided with irregular micropores by adjusting the diameters of the charcoal powders or by foaming, an continuous foam holes or through foam holes are formed whereby the surface area or cavity area of the linear element is adjusted and increased to 1.5 to several tens of times that of a normal unfoamed thermoplastic linear element. By foaming, the complex continuous foam holes or through foam holes are formed to increase the surface area or cavity area of the linear element to increase the area of the micropores in the charcoal powders which makes direct contact with air to prevent decrease in the functions of the charcoal.
