PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic operation shovel capable of enhancing productivity of a crushed-stone treatment system and the like. SOLUTION: This automatic operation shovel 1, which repeatedly restores a plurality of taught positions so as to repeat required operations, is constituted by mounting an automatic operation controller 8 on a normal shovel which is equipped with an undercarriage 100, a revolving superstructure 101, a boom 103, an arm 104 and a bucket 105. When it is determined that the depth of excavation by the shovel 1 reach an excavation depth set by an excavation depth setting means, the controller 8, which is equipped with the excavation depth setting means and an excavation depth determining means, transmits a signal to a portable transmitter-receiver 7 which is carried by a person in a location apart from the shovel 1, and announce a result of a determination to the person carrying the transmitter-receiver 7.
