PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new artificial leather which contains a UV light- reflecting ability, thereby has remarkably improved fading-preventing characteristics, especially skillfully contains a UV light-reflecting ability-having metal, and can efficiently reflect UV light to prevent the fading, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The artificial leather comprising ultra fine staple fibers and a polymer elastomer in an integrated state is characterized by containing the metal in the polymer elastomer in the form of a compound, and the method for producing the same is provided.
