PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve resistance against wear, resistance against seizure, and a load capacity of an iron sintered material forming a mate material by an aluminum alloy. SOLUTION: A slide member slides using the aluminum alloy as the mate material and is made of the iron sintered material on which a Ni-P plated film is applied on a slide face. Preferably, a volumetric vacancy rate of a cylindrical iron sintered alloy sliding using the aluminum alloy containing Si as the mate material is 16% or less, the inner face of the cylindrical iron sintered alloy sliding with the mate material is sized, and a Ni-P plated layer is formed.
