<p>Each pixel of a display apparatus has a current source circuit, switch section, and light emitting device. The light emitting device, current source circuit, and switch section are connected in series between a power source line and a power source line. The switch section is turned on and off with a digital video signal. The intensity of a constant current flowing through the current source circuit is determined depending upon a control signal input from outside the pixel. When the switch section is on, the light emitting device carries a constant current determined depending upon the current source circuit and emits light. As a result, the display apparatus and its driving method enable the light emitting device to emit light at a constant brightness without depending upon a variation in current characteristics due to a deterioration or the like, to express accurate gradations with a high-speed signal write to each pixel, and to miniaturize the display apparatus at a low cost.</p> |
