PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding method of a thread strip capable of suppressing occurrence of extremely large vibration in usually intending to increase winding speed and transferring to the start of normal winding in a low vibration state in performing thread guard using a turret type winding device, and to provide a manufacturing method of a thread strip package. SOLUTION: In performing the thread guard using the turret type thread strip winding device, a bobbin used for winding is mounted, a bobbin having an outer diameter larger than that of the bobbin usually used for winding is mounted to a spindle on the thread guard side, the spindle on the thread guard side is increased in speed to perform the thread guard, speed of the spindle on the thread guard side is then increased to a rotation speed corresponding to a predetermined winding speed, and speed of the spindle on the waiting side is increased to a rotation speed corresponding to the predetermined winding speed. Such a winding method of the thread strip and the manufacturing method of the thread strip package are provided.
