PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin sheet stacker which may smooth a flow of thin sheets so as to avoid disturbances, correspond a fast flow thereof, and reliably stack the thin sheets while improving its processing capability. SOLUTION: This stacker is provided with a conveyor 1 for delivering thin sheets S, a handling apparatus 2 and a discharging conveyor 3. The handling apparatus comprises a first vane wheel 21 and a second vane wheel 22 which are disposed on the same rotary shaft and respectively connected to independent drive systems. Each vane wheel has a plurality of vanes mounted thereon within a range of 180 deg. of its peripheries so as to form holding spaces among the vanes. While one vane wheel 21 is intermittently rotating so as to successively accommodate the thin sheets S in the holding spaces, the other vane wheel 22 takes and piles the thin sheets on the discharging conveyor in a stack state. A top vane 22-c is partially controlled such that it rotates to a position corresponding to a tail vane 21-c of the one vane wheel then intermittently rotates to accommodate the thin sheets into the holding spaces, following the one vane wheel.
