PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container puller, by which sanitariness, the sureness of sucking a paper container, and the life of a vacuum pad are improved. SOLUTION: In the paper container puller of a charging machine for the paper containers, the paper container 1 with a bottom formed by a mandrel 2 is sucked and transferred to a bottom rail 3. The paper container puller comprises a suction pipe 12 having the vacuum pad 11 on the front extremity, where the bottom of the paper container 1 is sucked and stuck to the vacuum pad 11, and a puller body 13 into which the suction pipe 12 is fitted so as to be able to move up and down. The paper container puller further comprises a first moving up-and-down means for moving up the suction pipe 12 to an elevated position, where the suction pipe is separated from the mandrel 2 at a prescribed distance, and to a lowered position below the bottom rail 3, and a second moving up-and-down means for moving up and down the suction pipe 12 between the elevated position of the first moving up-and-down means and the bottom of the paper container.
