PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child seat fastening device whereby a child seat in a car cabin is unlikely to become free from the car body. SOLUTION: A striker 4 approximately in a channel shape is welded to the undersurface of a bracket 3 fixed to the car body, and a latch at the arm tip attached to the child seat in the cabin is engaged with the striker 4 so that the child seat is fastened to the car body, wherein the welding strength of the welded part in the area a1 in the front part of the car is set lower than that of the area b1 in the rear of the car, and when the child seat is going to tilt in the direction across the car width in the event of lateral collision, the striker 4 will be easily exfoliated from the undersurface of the bracket 3 in the front area a1 of the welded part by a downward directed load given by the arm tip.
