<p>A trench apparatus and process for liquid treatment of fabric uses a longitudinal trench for holding a treatment liquid (10). A pull rope, chain, or cable (14) having shackle rings or shackles (15) attached thereto for securing one or more bags (16) to the rope, chain, or cable (14) is positioned for pulling one or more bags (16) containing dyed fabric in a longitudinal direction down the length of the trench. The trench has a liquid treatment zone with a surface level (26), and the trench includes one or more raised platforms (4) dividing the trench into a plurality of separated treatment vats (2), the raised platforms (6) having a height extending above said surface level (26). A conduit (23) communicates from at least one vat (2) to at least one other vat (2) at a level below said surface level (26) for movement of liquid (10) therebetween.</p> |
