The soft seal (D) for the ball bearing (6) has a single-piece construction and is fitted over the wheel bearing component (3) and forms a seal against the axle (2). The castor wheel (1) has an axle extending through two opposing coaxial bearing components. A ball bearing is provided on one of the bearing components and a soft seal joined to one of the bearing components forms a seal against the ball bearing.
