The mast (1) has a column (2) and at least three tension cables (3A,B,C) extending from a fastening height on the column, downwards at an angle. The other ends of the cables are anchored (4A,B,C) to the ground. Below the fastening height on the column is a row of rigid elements (5A,B,C) extending radially outwards from the column. The outer end of each of rigid element is connected to a tension cable. An auxiliary cable extends from each connection point with lower ends connected to the foot of the column.
