PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety of a regenerator G3 for high temperature on the highest temperature side in an absorption type refrigeration unit having at least one condenser C, an evaporator E, an absorber A, and n pieces of regenerators Gn -G1 . SOLUTION: The absorber A and the regenerator G3 heated by an external heat source J are connected to each other by liquid supply piping 51 for emergency. When an abnormality is generated in the regenerator G3 heated by the external heat source J, dilution liquid La is supplied from the absorber A through the liquid supply piping 51 for emergency to the regenerator G3 .
