PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail rolling stock which is able to absorb impact energy and is safe. SOLUTION: A front part 100 is located at a front edge of the car. Its floor comprises hollow members 200 constituting a buffer device 200. The buffer equipment 200 comprises an upper and a lower buffer devices 200, 200. An annealed hollow material is used for hollow type members 210. A longitudinal direction of the hollow members 210 is a longitudinal direction of the car. Multiple hollow members are laid out in a cross direction and are jointed by rubbed and stirred joint. The hollow members 210 are deformed into bellows and absorbs the impact energy when impact load is imposed. At that time, impact force is applied upon a friction-stirring joint section, however, thanks to the friction-stirring joint, cracks are not caused and a deformation of the hollow members 210 into bellows is not hindered.
